The worse things get for Walter White, the higher the ratings soar for "Breaking Bad."

As AMC's hit drama races toward its finale, Sunday's episode, full of setbacks for chemistry-teacher-turned-meth-dealer White (Bryan Cranston), logged a series record 6.4 million total viewers, according to Nielsen. Just last year, the show was typically in the range of 3 million viewers.
