FX has signed up "American Horror Story" for another season of ghoulish fun.

A fourth 13-hour season will air in 2014, FX said Wednesday, with Ryan Murphy producing.

In keeping with past practice, no cast has been announced. Most of the "AHS" actors have only been cast for one season - or in a number of cases, less.

The current "American Horror Story," "Coven," which airs the fifth of its 13 episodes Wednesday night, has been the highest rated in show history.

Its final episode will air Jan. 29.

"Put simply, Ryan Murphy is a master television producer," said FX President John Landgraf. "Every year, he and his production team create a riveting and brilliant new miniseries."

"American Horror Story" has been among the most successful shows in TV's attempt to create short-run series that still have the brand of a franchise.
