'It's a go': ‘Entourage’ movie is finally happening, says creator

Vinnie Chase and the boys are back, for real this time.

"Entourage" creator and director Doug Ellin confirmed Monday night that the film version of the popular HBO show is finally heading into production, after nearly a year of hold up.

"It's a go," Ellin tweeted, adding a photo of himself posing with the principal cast members. "Love you all."

Several of the actors also chimed in on Twitter, sharing their excitement and thanking fans for staying faithful throughout the tumultuous speculation about a movie after the show ended in 2011, after seven seasons.

"On behalf of the 4 guys I wanna also thank the #entourage fans for the patience," Jerry Ferrara, who plays Turtle, wrote.

"The BOYS are BACK. 'It always works out.'"

"Break out the license cause we're full speed ahead," lead actor Adrian Grenier added.

Warner Bros. "greenlighted" the film project in January, but since then production has been stalled with reports of salary disputes among cast members.

Grenier, 37, Ferrara, 33, Kevin Dillon and Kevin Connolly were "holding out" for higher pay, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It was also reported that Jeremy Piven - who has won several Emmy awards for his portrayal of Ari Gold on the show - has always been paid more than the other cast members.

"It has, and never will be about the money for me," Grenier wrote in a message to fans posted on Twitter October 17.

"I promise I will always stand up for the boys… and do what I can to make sure they are treated fairly and not be taken advantage of by anybody."

"The spirit of 'Entourage' is about sharing the opportunities given to us and I will sign any deal that gives ALL the boys an opportunity to share in the upside of success EQUALLY. I assure you, despite the perception, there is no greed in my heart."

Now that things have been squared away, production will likely begin in January, according to THR.
