Katy Perry appeared on "Saturday Night Live" this week, serving as the musical guest to the episode hosted by Bruce Willis.
Perry first performed the debut single off of her upcoming album, "Prism," the chart-topper "Roar." The 28-year-old singer was joined for the performance by backup singers and members of a live band, all dressed in full, hooded animal suits, ranging from a tiger to a monkey to an elephant. Perry herself wore a short animal print look for the gig.
Perry hit the stage again later in the show to play the latest cut off of her "Prism" album, "Walking on Air." The dance track had Perry dancing in a schoolgirl skirt and a white cropped turtleneck tank with a group of backup dancers dressed in all white.
"Prism," the fourth studio album from Perry, will hit stores on Oct. 22. The 13-track album includes a collaboration with rapper Juicy J and production by Dr. Luke.
Perry's "SNL" performance was hyped by the singer ahead of the show's airing on Twitter. She teased what was to come and even took the chance to make a joke about the ongoing government shutdown. Check out Perry's "SNL" tweets below.
