NYCC 2013: 'Star Wars Rebels' takes trip to the Dark Side

You Rebel scum! The Empire has found its latest enforcer in 'Star Wars Rebels.'

In a video shown at New York Comic Con 2013, the show's executive producer Dave Filoni revealed the upcoming CGI animated series' "marquee villain," the Imperial Inquisitor.

The unnamed villain has been tasked by Darth Vader with hunting down the Jedi who survived the events of 'Revenge of the Sith.' He is a Pau'an, a species first seen in the same movie, and wields a Darth Maul-style double bladed lightsaber.

Lucasfilm's Pablo Hidalgo, who chaired the panel, said 'Star Wars Rebels' would stick closely to the Original 'Star Wars' Trilogy's look.

"The show is a Ralph McQuarrie painting come to life," referring to legendary concept artist who designed the movies' iconic characters and locations.

'Star Wars Rebels' premieres with a one-hour special on Disney Channel next fall, with subsequent episodes airing on Disney XD.
