Red carpet cover up! Charlize Theron hides neck surgery scar with scarf

Charlize Theron's glamorous look at a Hollywood fete on Friday gave no indication that the "Snow White and the Huntsman" actress recently underwent neck surgery.

Theron, 38, was a vision in a white Stella McCartney mini dress at the Variety magazine 5th annual Power of Women event. The look included a bandage-style scarf to cover her apparent real Band-Aid.

"Charlize got injured on a set and broke a vertebra years ago," a party insider told Us Weekly. "It's been bothering her a lot lately so she had surgery to correct it and they had to go through her neck."

"She will be totally fine. She plans just to hang out and rest all weekend and recuperate."

It's unclear when Theron underwent the procedure, but the injury occurred when something hit the stunning South African actress in the head on set, according to the source.

"She's got a small Band-Aid on her neck," another magazine insider said. "She kept fussing with the white scarf she [was] wearing to cover it, but it was poking out and visible."
