Zac Efron thanks fans for support ‘these past few weeks’

Zac Efron took a moment to thank his fans for their "support" on Friday.

The "New Year's Eve" actor posted a photo of himself happily posing on a mountain overlooking the famous Machu Picchu ruins in Peru. The photo caption simply referenced "these past few weeks" as a reason for his gratitude, without mentioning the reason.

Recent reports revealed that Efron, 25, spent time in rehab twice earlier this year for an alleged cocaine addiction.

The actor reportedly sought help for his drug abuse first in March and then again in April after the issue spiraled out of control while he filmed the Seth Rogen movie, "Neighbors," according to TMZ.
