Zach Galifianakis spanks Justin Bieber in a Funny or Die 'Between Two Ferns' segment.
“Hangover” star Zach Galifianakis fulfilled the fantasy of millions of non-Beliebers with the flick of a belt in a hilarious new installment of a new Funny or Die” video.
A spate of Justin Bieber’s recent embarrassments - including the now-infamous footage showing the Canadian crooner urinating in a mop bucket at a night club -- became fodder for jokes in the five-minute segment. The segment culminates in Galifianakis pulling off his belt and spanking the pop superstar.
“It's real exciting to talk to you especially right in he middle of your public meltdown,” Galifianakis deadpans in character as the clueless host of “Between Two Ferns” to start off the faux interview.
After an uncofmrtable silence, Bieber asked, “Are you going to say anything?”
“ I just never interviewed a seven year old before ,” responds Galifianakis to his 19-year-old guest.
The interview goes downhill from there.
“When you're in the recording studio do you ever think, ‘What if I don't make something sh--y,” Galifianakis asks at one point.
Over the course of the interview, Galifianakis gets increasingly agitated, shouting: “There hasn't been a time in the last six, seven years that I haven't urinated in a bucket, but I don't film it and put it in the Internets.”
With that, he pulls off his belt and seemingly hits Bieber - who despite being a good sport, won’t likely be abandoning music for a full-time acting career anytime soon.
“I don't think your mom would mind if a stranger whipped her son,” he screams before “striking” Bieber.
After settling down and an awkward pause, the interview sort of resumes.
“So who are you dating now,” Galifianakis asks.
