Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) said it, so it must be true. And she would know, considering she's almost died at least five times over the course of the show's nine seasons so far.


As her BFF Cristina (Sandra Oh) recapped in the Season 9 finale: "Meredith Grey has survived a bomb, a drowning, a gunman and a plane crash and she's still here." And that was all while she and Meredith's husband Derek (Patrick Dempsey) were waiting to see if she'd survive childbirth!
