"Nashville" is shaking up its cast for Season 2.

According to TVLine, Powers Boothe -- that's Lamar Wyatt, father to Connie Britton's Rayna -- will not be a series regular for Season 2; nor will Robert Ray Wisdom. Both will appear in Season 2 on a recurring basis.

While some players may be out, "Nashville" did hand out promotions. Chris Carmack has been upped to series regular status, as have Lennon Stella and her sister Maisy Stella, the talented siblings who play Rayna's daughters.

New faces this season include "Rules of Engagement" star Oliver Hudson as a record executive, "Sharknado" actress Aubrey Peeples as a reality singing competition runner-up, and Chaley Rose will play Scarlett's friend Zoey. "Smash" star Will Chase will also recur.

"Nashville" Season 2 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
