Katy Perry's 'Prism' album, which debuted in October, includes a seed paper fans can plant, but officials in Australia are concerned about foreign seeds coming into the country.

Katy Perry's music may be a biohazard to Australia.

The flashy deluxe version of her new album "Prism" comes with a lot of cool artwork, including a seed paper that fans are encouraged to plant and "spread the light."

While it may seem to be a noble gesture, the seed paper has become a cause for concern because international versions may include plants not local to Australia, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

Aussie officials have been told to inspect all copies of the album being shipped in from overseas, which is especially relevant to album purchases made online.

"Seeds or plant material of international origin may be a weed not present in Australia or the host of a plant pathogen of biosecurity concern," a department spokesperson told the Herald.

The country's version of Perry's seed paper is made of local "Swan River daisy seeds," according to the newspaper, but incoming copies could have a different plant and will be vetted for security.

"The Australian Government has a strong system in place to detect and respond to material of biosecurity concern," the spokesperson said. "This includes the inspection of mail, cargo and baggage."

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old singer is enjoying the success of the album in question. Perry, who tweeted news of a "Prism" tour next year, is also enjoying her No. 1 status, with the top-selling female album of the year.

"I woke up to the news that we are #1 with the #PRISM debut & (have) become the biggest record by a pop female this year!" she tweeted on October 30.
