'American Horror Story' may nab Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates for season four

Angela Bassett and Kathy Bates in 'American Horror Story.' The two may return to do a fourth season.




"American Horror Story" fans may soon have cause to celebrate.


Angela Bassett and Kathy Bates, who play rivals Madame LaLaurie and Marie Laveaux on the show, have both been approached to return for season four of the show, Entertainment Weekly reports.

"I have approached them, and they wanna do it," series co-creator Ryan Murphy told the magazine. "That's very exciting when you can work with, A, actresses you've always idolized and, B, those two are loving this season."


"They love what they get to do," Murphy continued. "Kathy Bates sent the writers a basket of plush toys all in the shapes of disemboweled organs. It doesn't get better than when an Oscar winner sends you a grab bag of stuffed pancreas to say 'Thank you and job well done.'"
