Lady Gaga’s online rant posts hours before ‘Do What U Want’ single debuts

Lady Gaga continued her reverse psychology approach to promoting her music Sunday as she amped fans up for the release of the second single from her “Artpop” album, “Do What U Want.”

The song, featuring R. Kelly, debuted Monday at 12:01 a.m. - - but not before Gaga took to Twitter to rehash some of the criticism hurled at her.

“Lady Gaga is fat now! #Do WhatUWantWithMyBody,” she tweeted Sunday along with a photo from a previous concert after the pop star had put on a few pounds.

Her Twitter rant continued as she detailed rumors of being a “hermaphrodite” and accusations of being “on drugs.”

The 27-year-old singer even included criticisms of her support for gay rights.

“God hates Lady Gaga! #YouCantHaveMyHeart ill always fight for equality, got my own relationship with God,” Gaga tweeted.

Just as she did with her first single, “Applause,” which debuted shortly after the release of a promo video telling fans not to support the album, Gaga has once again taken an unusual marketing approach by belittling herself.

On Friday, she released the cover art for the upbeat, erotic single, which features a blond woman showing her backside in a thong. However, there’s no telling whether the lady is Gaga herself.

“I don’t need anybodys permission to be remembered,” she added. “I will be. Whether they like it or not.”
