Previously, an insider close to the actor told the Daily News' Confidential that Hirsch planned to "take care" of his child, despite not being romantically linked to the baby's mother.

"He is doing the right thing and will be taking care of her and his baby financially," the insider said in early October.

"He will definitely be in her life and wants to be a part of the baby's life… He's told all his friends about it and it's fine. He plans to be in the kid's life."

Another source said Hirsch and the baby's mother dated for a while, and are now trying to "figure out what they're going through."

Meanwhile, the "Lords of Dogtown" actor has stayed relatively quiet about his personal life on his Twitter page.

"Love to all my followers, beautiful Sunday," Hirsch simply wrote the day his son was born.
