Some of us remember, way back in 2010, when AMC's "The Walking Dead" broke records with its debut and all those non-horror fans looked so dumbfounded, just as if they'd never heard of George Romero or Comic-Con. Three years later, those wacky walkers are still chewing up the competition. With another record-breaking premiere audience, "The Walking Dead" isn't just the biggest show in cable, its numbers rival "NCIS."

Meanwhile, every third show being pitched or piloted is either supernatural or post-apocalypse. But none can replace the show that put zombies, Atlanta and Norman Reedus on the map. Join television critic Mary McNamara, television reporter Yvonne Villarreal and a super-fan or two at at 10 a.m. Thursday, when we discuss the wonders and wherefores of "The Walking Dead" at latimes.com.
