The 34-year-old A-list actress has finally joined the popular social media site Friday and has sent out her first tweets while on set of latest film,"The Giver."
"So happy to be on twitter!!!!!!" she wrote under the handle @KatieHolmes212. "Sending first tweets from South Africa!!!!!"

Holmes added "212" to the end of her verified name, likely paying homage to New York City's well-known area code, where she's now a full-time resident with daughter Suri Cruise.
Some of her first follows included high-end fashion magazine, Vogue, as well the spinning studio, Soul Cycle.

It was none other than her love-ballad-belting "Giver" costar, Taylor Swift.
Perhaps Swift, 24, who has over 35 million followers, played a part in convincing Holmes to sign up for Twitter while the two currently film the upcoming movie on location.
Holmes also re-tweeted a photo uploaded by film and television producer, Nikki Silver, featuring her alongside Swift and actor Jeff Bridges.

"On set today filming the Giver. Love working with director Phil Noyce am so grateful for such a wonderful experience," Holmes added in another tweet.
