A source close to John Mayer said, ‘Everyone knows it's just a question of when John will propose,’ regarding future nuptials with girlfriend Katy Perry.
Fireworks are really sparking for Katy Perry and John Mayer since the duo got back together in July.
Now, the on-again, off-again couple is reportedly headed towards matrimony, reports Britain's Daily Mail.
Moved by the wedding bells of Mayer's brother John, who got married Sunday at New York's Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club, the "Roar" singer and her love were supposedly reflecting on what their future may hold.
"Everyone knows it's just a question of when John will propose," a source close to the "Your Body is a Wonderland" singer told Us Weekly after his brother's ceremony.

Perry has had a lot to celebrate lately. Tuesday, Entertainment Weekly reported that her album "Prism," which debuts Oct. 22, was streaming 90-second snippets on iTunes, giving fans an early listen. That same day she began her stint as the newest face of CoverGirl and posted a beautiful photo on Twitter from the cosmetic line's ad campaign.
"BEAUTIFUL news to share w/you all," she wrote. "Today is my 1st day as a @COVERGIRL! See what happens when you let the light in? #COVERGIRLKATY"
In addition to those joyous career highs, the 28-year-old "Walking on Air" singer wished Mayer a happy 36th birthday, confirming their current blissful state.

"Happy birthday cutie!!" she tweeted as Mayer is currently in Denmark on the European leg of his tour.
But the duo did have some time together back in the States when he attended her performance on "Saturday Night Live" on Oct. 12, the day before his brother's wedding. According to sources, they put on quite a show at the 'SNL' after-party, where their PDA was intense.
"(They) were beyond affectionate and adorable," a source told Us about the shindig that took place at the Heartland Brewery.
"He was rubbing her back, then pulled her in for an intimate close chat," the source added. "She put her hand inside his jacket and they were kissing and gazing into each other's eyes."
