Lamar Odom looks happy, healthy during meal with friends: 'He's trying to show Khloe that he's changing'

Lamar Odom seems to be bouncing back.

The NBA free agent was spotted out with friends Tuesday having lunch at Armenian eatery Gavar Cuisine in Glendale, Calif., reports Us Weekly.

"He is working out and looks really good and is happy again," a source said. "It's so nice to see him getting better."

Odom has recently fallen under harsh criticisms for his reported substance abuse problems and marriage woes. He was reportedly cheating on his wife, Khloe Kardashian, 29, and was said to be in a full blown battle with a crack cocaine addiction.

Now, in addition to reportedly looking healthier than recent photos that surfaced where the 33-year-old athlete appeared gaunt, he is also supposedly trying to mend things with his estranged father.

Odom went on a Twitter rant after his father, Joe Odom, said some offensive statement's about the Kardashians.

"I think the best thing for him would be to have a clean break, divorce Khloe and as a single man try and get his life back together," the elder Odom said in an interview with RadarOnline.com.

The former Los Angeles Clippers player immediately shot back on Twitter.

"He is my downfall!" he wrote. "He (is) disrespecting the ONLY FAMILY that has loved me without expecting anything in return. They are the ONLY ones that have been here consistently 4 me during this dark time. Only person 2 blame is myself."

Since then, the father-and-son team are said to be working towards a better relationship.

In keeping with his positive mood, Odom enjoyed the company of his friends during their meal Tuesday and was even said to be cuddling with one of their babies during the five hours they reportedly spent at the Glendale eatery.

"He is trying to show Khloe that he's changing and he wants to make it work," the source added.
