Chris Hemsworth, star of 'Thor,' chatting with Daily News readers from London, where he is promoting 'Thor: The Dark World.'
LONDON — Thor put the hammer down and picked up a laptop to chat with Daily News readers Saturday.
Hunky Australian actor Chris Hemsworth revealed he wanted to be a professional surfer, that he regularly triumphed over younger brother Liam in sports and that he would love to keep playing superhero Thor even after his contract is up.

When asked by a reader about how difficult it is to film nude love scenes like the ones in his car-racing flick “Rush,” Hemsworth answered, “They’re rather intimidating, to be honest. You have a hundred people standing around with lights and cameras, and it’s a fairly unnatural setting to be getting your kit off.”
On the subject of how long he would wear the cape as the lightning-flinging Thor, he answered, “I have another three that I’m contracted for, but if they continue to work and people want to see more, I’d be happy to continue on. I love playing this character and being a part of the Marvel world.”

Hemsworth got online in London, where he is promoting “Thor: The Dark World,” the sequel to 2011’s “Thor,” hitting theaters Nov. 8.
“This is different,” Hemsworth told a News reporter as he got into the groove during the 25-minute Web chat, adding that he enjoyed the chance to interact directly with fans.

When a fan asked him his dream job, other than acting, he replied, “I would have loved to be good enough to be a professional surfer, but unfortunately wasn’t. But I still spend all my time outside of work dreaming about that.”
His favorite beer? An Australian brand called Cooper’s that’s hard to come by in his current home of Los Angeles. His favorite soundtrack for Thor? MC Hammer’s “Hammer Time” — not surprisingly.

Hemsworth expressed interest in doing a romantic comedy and working with “Dark World” co-star Natalie Portman again.
The star, whose older brother Luke and younger sib Liam are also actors, says he was competitive in sports with both growing up. “He’ll (Liam) tell you he won, but I think I did mostly.”

Hemsworth said they are grateful for their Hollywood success.
“Liam and I are shocked that we’re even in this position and to be a part of films of this size is just crazy,” he said.
